About the role

The Payroll Officer role plays a vital service and processing role in the accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees.  The Payroll Officer will deliver excellent payroll service to Estia Health homes by;

  • Ensure accurate setting up of new starters.
  • Process terminations and pay adjustments (of large value).
  • Resolve payroll-related queries and issues.
  • Answer and respond to phone and email queries.
  • Assist with leave audits and leave paid in advance process.
  • Process end-to end payroll (over 5,000 employees).
  • Complete payroll reporting from payroll system.
  • Contribute to process development and improvement.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Contribute to the creation of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Supporting all members of the Payroll team as required.

The traits that will help you succeed

  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience
  • Experience dealing with a large volume payroll
  • Strong end to end payroll processing knowledge
  • Strong organisational skills and close attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work tight deadlines
  • Experience working within a high-volume payroll environment
  • Knowledge of EBA’s and award interpretation an advantage
  • Previous experience utilising Chris21 system
